If this is what HTML and CSS meant then, let’s say a lot of people would be on the ball unfortunately for those people, hypertext markup language and cascading style sheets offer a whole different application.
The thought that virtually anyone can put content online in awesome because it does not require any expensive software to do so and all that is required is the learning of said protocols.
I think a lot of what people get confused about when it comes to HTML and CSS (myself included) is the coding heirarchy, I guess the sequence in which tags are to be placed apart from the <html> and <body> tags, have never really stayed with me through all the years of design and I.T but it is something that I am determined to make stick.
For me, the best way to get started was to understand exactly what kind of tags were available in HTML and what their functions are before going to build any sort of webpage. So these are the tags that I found: HTML Tags / Codes / Web Page Design.
Understanding this other relational partner, CSS, seems tricky as well but one of the challenges I have given to myself this year is to build a fully functional website utilising CSS and as good as CSS Zen Garden is, I don’t think it is a great tool for learning the basics, but it should be interesting.
